Each an acclaimed performer in his own right, pianist Alon Goldstein, cellist Amit Peled, and clarinetist Alexander Fiterstein formed their trio in 2005. Performances reflect the special gifts and originality of the three artists as soloists as well as their marvelous sense of ensemble and love of chamber music. 

One of the rare professional string trios, the Aspen String Trio offers vivid, engaging programs that combine unexpected treasures alongside the standard canon and music of our time. Named after the Aspen Festival where they met as artist-faculty colleagues, they also enjoy sharing their keen insights, musical intelligence, and good-natured humor in educational and community outreach events. 

For our annual fundraising gala, outstanding performers from Iowa State University and the central Iowa community at large create a memorable collage of musical delights, followed by our equally memorable buffet. 

American pianist Evren Ozel has been described as “an absolute wow” (Third Coast Review) and “an artist capable of lifting everyone to another level” (LaScena Musicale), for his blend of technical mastery and compelling artistry. Bronze Medalist of the 17th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition (2025), he also received a special prize for the Best Performance of a Mozart Concerto.

“Known for their stimulating approach to programming” (CD Classic), the two vocalists and three instrumentalists of Tapestry will take the audience on a musical tour from Provence and Brittany in the Middle Ages to twentieth-century Paris and beyond, from medieval song and dance to Gabriel Fauré, Reynaldo Hahn, Cécile Chaminade, Erik Satie, and Edith Piaf.
