Evren Ozel, a native of Minnesota, has performed extensively throughout the United States and internationally, especially since winning the Bronze Medal in the Van Cliburn International Competition in 2025. He has also been recognized with an Avery Fisher Career Grant, a Salon de Virtuosi Career Grant, and an Ambassador Prize in the Victor Elmaleh Competition.

Since making his orchestral debut with the Minnesota Orchestra at age 11, Ozel has appeared as soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, and Jacksonville Symphony. His debut album—Mozart concertos recorded with the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra—was released on Alpha Classics.

As solo recitalist, he has appeared on such prestigious stages and series as the Harvard Musical Association, the La Jolla Music Society, the Gilmore Festival, and Salle Cortot in Paris. Ozel spent four summers at the Marlboro Music Festival and is currently a 2024-27 Bowers Program Artist with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. 

Ozel resides in Boston and holds degrees from the New England Conservatory, where he studied with Wha Kyung Byun. His other important mentors include Jonathan Biss, Imogen Cooper, Richard Goode, András Schiff, and Mitsuko Uchida.
