"The four generated nearly limitless excitement . . . arching lyricism, poetic eloquence, and great accuracy." – Los Angeles Times

The Ames Piano Quartet, well known as our resident chamber music ensemble at Iowa State University, performs throughout the country and internationally, and has produced CDs. They will be joined by guest violinist Misha Rosenker to create an evening of music for three, four, and five instruments.
Mr. Rosenker is well known in central Iowa for his performances with the Mozaiques Chamber Ensemble and as principal second violinist of the Des Moines Symphony, and he is active throughout the country as soloist, chamber musician, and teacher. Included in the program will be the work commissioned by Town & Gown ten years ago for our 50th anniversary, Dark Rosaleen by Lee Hoiby, which has since been performed and well received throughout the country.
Program: Beethoven String Trio, Op. 9, No. 3 ; Hoiby Dark Rosaleen; Schumann Piano Quintet, Op. 44
