AMES TOWN & GOWN PRESENTS ITS 13TH ANNUAL WINTER MUSICALE

The Ames Town & Gown Chamber Music Association will host its thirteenth annual winter musicale on February 16. This event is eagerly anticipated each season, not only for its potpourri of musical delights, but also for its lavish offerings of dessert delicacies following the performance.

Both the musical and culinary aspects of the evening are prepared and donated by supporters and friends of Town & Gown, and all proceeds go toward programming the upcoming concert season.

The performers for the Town & Gown musicale traditionally include some of our area's finest musicians. This year’ our roster features the Ames Children's Choir, members of the Ames Piano Quartet, baritone Jim Tener, soprano Mary Creswell, tenor Donald Simonson, clarinetist Joseph Messenger, pianists Paula Forrest, Sue Haug, Paul Pisano, and others.

The musicale will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall of St.John's By the Campus Episcopal Church, 2338 Lincoln Way, Ames. Ample parking is available in an adjoining lot. Admission to the Ames Town & Gown Winter Musicale is $30. Tickets and information are available from Adah Ackerman, 231 Parkridge, Ames, IA 50014, 292-5203. A limited number of tickets may also be available at the door.
